In the movie The Girl Next Door, Elisha Cuthbert plays a regular, wholesome, and feminine girl next door to a honor student played by Emile Hirsch. Emile’s character Matthew is a senior in high school and finds that he has nothing to show for after graduating. He soon finds out that Danielle (Elisha’s character) is really a porn star. This is every teenage boy’s fantasy to have a porn star live right next to you -- especially if that porn star looks like Elisha Cuthbert.
This teenage comedy revolves around Matthew and Danielle. They first fall in love and unbeknownst to Matthew that Danielle is a porn star. He finds out from friend and is talked into bringing her to a sleazy motel. Danielle figures out that Matthew knows about her past job and leaves him to go to Las Vegas to reignite her porn career.
Matthew gets into this altercation and whole shenanigan with her ex-boyfriend who is also a porn producer. Things get messy and the plot expands to basically Matthew trying to win Danielle’s heart back, while at the same time trying to defend the ex boyfriend.
The movie ends with Matthew getting the girl of his dreams and a chance at a future he has always wanted by going to the college of his choice.
You’ll have to see the movie yourself to get the full details of the plot. You’ll also want to see it because of Elisha Cuthbert. There are many good scenes with her in it. Especially if she’s playing the role of a porn star, you can only cross your fingers and hope to see some of the scenes you really want to see.

24 is a television series under the genre of drama and action. It revolves around espionage and is one of the longest running types of shows on TV.
What is very unique about 24 is that it is shown in real-time. What this means is that each minute in real-time corresponds to a minute on the show. The show is 1 hour long and each season is supposed to show 24 hours of the life of Jack Bauer. The commercials are timed so that when the characters are doing mundane tasks, it’s not shown on the air, such as driving a car. After the commercial break, it will usually show the characters arriving at their destination.
Elisha Cuthbert plays Kim Bauer, who is the daughter of the main character Jack Bauer. The character that she plays is about 22 years old and was born Santa Monica, CA. Kim’s parents are Jack and Teri Bauer.
Just to give a little bit on how intense this show is, here is a recap of season one in a nutshell. In Season one, Kim is kidnapped after sneaking out of her house. She escapes, but gets recaptured again. She then gets stuck in a drug bust and arrested, with the cops thinking that she was part of the drug dealers. Kim finally gets released and the police car she is in gets attacked. Kim gets recaptured again. His father, Jack Bauer makes a deal with the capturers to trade him for Kim and she is set free. Jack later finds that his wife Teri is dead.
This show is pretty intense and action packed. Right now it is on season eight in production with the last season’s finale ending in a cliffhanger. Jack Bauer is in a coma and Kim needs to donate stem cells to try and save her dying father.
Elisha Cuthbert starred in a Canadian TV mini series that examines the issues and problems with gun violence in Canada. This aired in 2008 and was directed by David “Sudz” Suderland. The tagline for the mini-series reads: “The right to share arms.”
Right now in post-production is an indie file that Elisha Cuthbert is starring in called The Six Wives of Henry Lefay. Elisha is starring in the film alongside Tim Allen, who is most famous for his role in the TV show Home Improvement as Tim “The Tool Man” Taylor. The plot of the movie revolves around the character Tim plays, named Henry Lafay. Henry is a flashy and over the top salesman who goes missing after a skydiving incident and is presumed dead. Elisha Cuthbert who plays her daughter, goes home to arrange his funeral. She shockingly finds out that Henry’s wife and 5 other ex-wives are fighting over who gets to bury Henry.
The most exciting movie that Elisha Cuthbert has coming up is an animation film about a cat. The movie is called Cat Tale and is due to come out in 2010 from Warner Bros. Studios. As Elisha’s first voice role in a movie, she’ll be voicing the character of Cleo. The story is about a cat named Rover who was raised by dogs in a Dogtown. He goes back to his roots in Catopolis to find out about his history. Rover’s love interest is the character that Elisha voices, Cleo. But there is also another cat named Simon who is trying to get with Cleo. Rover’s best friend in the movie is a cat named Newton.
Right now this movie is still in production and is hoping to be released by 2010. I am looking forward to see, or rather hear, Elisha’s voice as she does he first ever voice over animation movie playing the cat Cleo.
My Sassy Girl was a straight to DVD release movie that debuted in August 2008. It was unfortunate that the US version of the movie did not do so well as the original Korean film in 2001. My Sassy Girl was a remake of that film since it was so highly successful.
This romantic comedy is about two characters: Jordan Roark, played by Elisha Cuthbert and Charlie Bellow, played by Jesse Bradford. Charlie is a Midwestern “nice guy” who moves to New York for the first time. He is naïve and hasn’t yet been tainted by the big city lifestyle. He finds Jordan passed out drunk on a subway platform and tried to take care of her. Although he ends up being in jail for his troubles, they remain friends, but Charlie plays the role of just a caregiver and emotional tampon to Jordan. He continues to be her friend even after emotional, verbal, and psychological abuse from her.
Before they go their separate ways, they agree to write each other a letter that they’ll read a year later. But unbeknownst to either of them, they both confess their love to each other in that letter.
This movie only got rated 5.8 stars out of 10 on imdb.com and not even enough votes for a rating on RottenTomatoes.com. The US version unfortunately did not live to the hype of the original Korean version. For comparison purposes, on imdb.com the original version of The Sassy Girl scored 8.2 out of 10 stars. With a pretty considerable difference, some people suggest to only watching the remake to know how remarkable the Korean version is in comparison. But a real Elisha Cuthbert fan would watch the remake anyway because how gorgeous she is on the big screen.
The Girl Next Door, Elisha Cuthbert, could have been Mary Jane Watson in the Spider-Man. It almost was Elisha Cuthbert, but the role went to Kirsten Dunst instead. Elisha auditioned for the role back in 2001 but apparently wasn’t cut out for that character.
Elisha Cuthbert did have Hollywood success with roles in the movies Old School and Love Actually. She played Darcie Goldberg in Old School and was the boss’ daughter. The main character of Old School, Mitch Martin, hooked up with Darcie after a big party they threw. He later found out it was his boss’ daughter and that Darcie was still in high school. So she did play a small role in that movie, but it was still a good chunk of the plot. Also to add to the fact that she’s smoking hot, that certainly made it more enjoyable.
This Canadian-born actress moved to Los Angeles, CA when she was only 17 years old. After she had graduated from Centennial Regional High School in 2000, she packed her bags to pursue her acting career.
